Treatment & Prevention of Diabetic Neuropathy

Presented by: Norm Shealy MD PhD

At least 35% of the US population have a prediabetic condition (syndrome X) and 52% of those over 60 years old have it. Diabetic neuropathy can begin 10 years before a diagnosis of diabetes, so all patients must have at least a Hemoglobin-A1C test at the first sign of neuropathy. Since loss of vibratory sensation is the most accurate first sign of diabetic neuropathy, it would behoove practitioners to do this simple test on every adult patient at least once each year. Although perfect control of diabetes can stop progression of neuropathy, Dr. Shealy has found the best single treatment is Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Frequency therapy applied to the patient’s feet or ankles daily. During this webinar, Dr. Shealy will describe how he does this PEMF therapy and various other natural therapies he uses for patients with diabetic neuropathy and pre-diabetes (syndrome-X).
